*blows out a looooong breath*
well, where do I begin to describe the weekend? what words should I use to describe the weekend?
Crazy,Fun,Dissapointing,Shocking,Exciting,Bittersweet,Cool,Scary,Prayerful,
Overwhelmed.
yeah, that's the overriding emotion the entire weekend... lets start at the beginning:
went to sleep at 2am on Saturday morning and woke up at 7am even though there was the captain ball competition. (yeah, crazy right?)....braved the haze to chiong to church to have choir, then off to the Tournament!
the 1st match that we played was epic, 1st half (8min) and we we're 10-0 up xP then by the end of 2nd half we won the match 16-2
but then in the end we got beaten (badly) by the hosts, and we ended up in 2nd place
Youngest Brother, playing around with friends had an accident: Jumping off a ledge, fell on a friend and landed on the ground on the back of his head-- skull fracture behind the left ear, bleeding from the ear---nasty, I cringe even now thinking of it. the second I saw him lying on the ground unconscious I had to keep repeating to myself:"theLordissovereignhiswillissupremetheLordissovereignhiswillissupreme" over and over again.
that incedent really gives a good refocus to all those that were there, the possibility and reality of death eclipses and value in the temporal, the relationship with others was thrown back to the top of the "must value, cannot take for granted" list.
thankfully Youngest Brother was able to be sent to the hospital and get treated there
the outpouring of concern, love, prayers. and help from the people around us was really overwhelming and it really touched all of us.
reached back home like at midnight (understandably) woke up early the next day for church
and again really touched by the way everyone around us rallied around and offered a ton of support for each and every one of us, the amount of concern was really amazing.
in the end, everything will be up to the Lord.
the Lord is Sovereign, his will is supreme.
